Terms of business

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms apply to use of snapbit.co.uk and to services supplied by [Snapbit legal entity name], [registered address] (“Snapbit”, “we”). Each project is also governed by a written quote or statement of work (“Quote”). If a Quote conflicts with these terms, the Quote prevails.

1. Website information and prices

Prices shown on this website are guide prices for the scope described. They are not offers capable of acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when you accept a written Quote. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which will be added where applicable.

2. Scope and changes

We deliver the deliverables set out in the Quote. Requests outside that scope are change requests: we will confirm their price and timing in writing before carrying them out. Timescales assume prompt provision of content, access and feedback by you.

3. Payment

Unless the Quote says otherwise: packages under £1,000 are payable in full on acceptance; larger projects are invoiced 50% on acceptance and 50% on delivery, or in agreed milestones. Invoices are payable within 14 days. We may pause work on overdue accounts and charge statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4. Your responsibilities

You confirm that content, trade marks and materials you supply are yours or licensed to you and that their use will not infringe third-party rights or law. You are responsible for approving deliverables and for the accuracy of your own business information.

5. Intellectual property

On receipt of full payment, we assign to you all intellectual property rights in bespoke deliverables created for you. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, libraries and know-how, and grant you a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use any of them incorporated in your deliverables. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences. Unless you ask us not to, we may describe the work in our portfolio once it is public.

6. Acceptance and warranty

You have 10 working days from delivery to report material defects against the agreed scope, which we will fix at no cost. After that, deliverables are deemed accepted. Ongoing support is available under a Care Plan or separate Quote.

7. SEO and performance results

We apply recognised best practice, but search rankings, traffic and conversion rates depend on factors outside our control, including search engine algorithms and competitor activity. Unless the Quote expressly states otherwise, we do not guarantee specific rankings or results.

8. Confidentiality and data protection

Each party will keep the other’s confidential information confidential. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we act as your processor and will enter into data processing terms that meet Article 28 UK GDPR.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability under any project is limited to the fees paid for that project in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may end a project by written notice if the other materially breaches these terms and does not remedy it within 14 days. You may otherwise cancel at any time by paying for work done to date. Care Plans may be cancelled on 30 days’ notice.

11. Consumers

Our services are intended for businesses. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including a 14-day cancellation right for contracts made at a distance, which these terms do not affect.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers resident in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands may bring proceedings in their local courts.
